Resumen
The main idea of this work refers to the analysis of the variants of the fantastic and spectral in the short story “When we spoke with the deads” by Mariana Enríquez, as they promote the creation of new fictional worlds. In this fictional space, the problem that is addressed is the plot that textualizes a narrative mode, to the extent that the story is directed by a voice that makes present an evoked time and the spectral forms of memory, arranged in different angles: the adolescent memory, the attraction towards the ghostly, the disappearance of people. From this focus, it is argued that if the story's writing strategy is associated with the fantastic world, it demands the reader to consider the “outside” the text, which introduces a critical sense to that narrative, filling the fissures of that “outside”.
