Abstract

The main objective of this article is to examine the "Collective War Seminar" held at El Colegio de Mexico in 1943 and in which various Mexican, Latin American and Spanish Republican exile intellectuals pondered the Second World War. But also the interest is in giving to know the more personal reflections of José Medina Echavarría - promoter of that event- on the war, totalitarianism or democracy.
