Abstract

The objective of this article is to address the period of emergence and consolidation (2008-2012) of the “Nueva Acción Universitaria” NAU, an organization of students of the Catholic University of Chile that constitutes the main input from which the political party Revolución Democrática is constituted (RD) in 2012. The hypothesis of this work is that the militant subjectivities forged within the framework of the political culture of the Catholic University of Chile are key to understanding some of the basic aspects of the configuration of the DR's political identity during its first stage.
